Sorry that this doesn’t follow my blog about lifting but it’s so much easier to write it here than on Instagram. Whilst you are here though why don’t you check out the rest of my blog 😏.
Some of you may know I’ve had eczema on and off since I was a baby.
A few weeks ago I was sent a complete intolerance test kit from Life Lab Testing. You have to give a small blood sample, send it back to them and within a week my results were sent back to me.
I had SO many comments left on my Instagram, or people direct messaging saying their eczema looks just like mine. So I wanted to let you know what my results came back with, hopefully it will help you in the future. Obviously everyone’s is going to be different but maybe there’s something in my list that you eat every day that you can start to leave out of your diet.
Here my eczema was at its worst and i honestly believe that this was stress related. 2015 was an emotional year and I think everything I was feeling decided to come out in the most painful rashes all over my body. Even moisturising caused stinging, my skin would literally flake off and around my neck would bleed if I moved my head too quickly. Since then I’ve not been able to get rid of my eczema completely. I’ve seen the doctor on numerous occasions, have been referred to a dermatologist, have repeat prescriptions for at least three steroid creams. I’ve been given body washes and moisturisers, I use non bio washing powder, I’ve literally done everything I’ve been told to do but I’m constantly itching.
So when I found Life Lab tests I genuinely thought what have I got to lose! Well turns out I’m losing cheese 😭.
My results came back and I’m pretty much intolerant to my daily diet. All cows milk/cheese and goats milk/cheese, peanuts, wheat, gluten, beef, egg white!! Literally everything I eat on a daily basis. No wonder my eczema isn’t going.
So I’m obviously going to try my best to cut down if not cut out all of the things they listed, even down to the little details like I’m allergic to Thyme and Sage. I think reducing my daily intake will certainly help and I’m definitely going to be more aware of the things I buy when I’m shopping now.
Here’s a complete list of my allergies
Plaice, oysters, squid
Durum wheat, spelt, wheat
Cashew nuts, Brazil nuts, peanuts, macadamia nuts
Sweet lupine, white beans
Goats milk/cheese, cows milk/cheese, mozzarella, cottage cheese, cream cheese, yogurt
This will be a lifestyle change for me now. Thanks Life Lab Tests 💌
